January 25 session

Very enjoyable session today discussing and actually using the library's internet service on a house computer. Accessed Google search, Firefox, Bing and discussed terminologies and tabs and viewed maps of Japan.

Thankyou for the opportunity to look over the shoulders of Len and Noela. I learned more about tabs, histories, search engines, Amazon,ca, ebooks, and personal websites. I will try to set up a modest site this evening.

We considered how half of Haiti is truly illiterate. In Canada, even in my later years, Len and I find that we must learn to read and write the language of the computer to be competitive. Thanks again.

The Purpose of This Workshop

Hello!

The main purpose of Computer Lit is to help those between the ages of 40 and 59 learn the basics of their computers. Many people buy a new computer, but become overwhelmed with the standard features. That's where we come in. The CAP team will sit down with individuals on a hands-on, 1-on-1 basis and help clear up the confusion.

Call Manisha @ the library 780.361.4447 to book your session.
