February 22nd session

Thanks, Noella for your time at the Wetaskiwin library and for your help with reviewing our previous session on installing the digital camera into my laptop. I was able to use my new found skills to take more pictures and actually transfer them to my computer picture library...then to install some of these onto aKijiji classified ad site to create a complete advertisement for items for sale with picture and text .....the ultimate ad for yr 2010!.... Learning how to use this technology to actually get in step with how private classified ads are now functioning on-line is very enlightning. Furthermore that particular ad for a washer & dryer for sale quickly invited many visits....generating e-mail inquiries. As a result I was able to use my new skills to respond by e-mail which has led to securing an appt. to demo the product..secure a deposit..arrange a delivery eta and guarrantee the sale ..which was my objective in the first place. For me personally, this is a home run..early in the game. Learning how to use my computer to this end has been greatly enhanced by your coaching,Noella. Your time and teaching is much appreciated....Best regards..................Leonard Greck

Many thanks to Noela for another fine tutorial. We learned that brand new expensive laptops may not work a hundred percent, also how to see if a computer is truly jammed and what to do about it even if it is not a hundred percent jammed. Having trouble with self help web sites is not my fault.. The sites ARE problematic.

We learned more about how XP And windows 7 differ in there use of hidden tool bars and e-mail programs. I wa given some more ideas of how to acretise goods and services on the web. I want to learn more about that maketing strategy. Great session.

The Purpose of This Workshop

Hello!

The main purpose of Computer Lit is to help those between the ages of 40 and 59 learn the basics of their computers. Many people buy a new computer, but become overwhelmed with the standard features. That's where we come in. The CAP team will sit down with individuals on a hands-on, 1-on-1 basis and help clear up the confusion.
